You Sell, I Buy - The Ulimate Equation
By Roberta Rosenberg on Jun 30, 2006 in Working with Clients
I wasn’t exactly sure how to categorize this excellent article about the You Sell, I Buy equation. This isn’t an article about copywriting per se, but the sales complexity process and how to think about a product/service in context (one of my favorite concepts) to the audience needs, wants, desires, and
perceptions.
Read this: You Sell, I Buy. (And when you’re done, share it with a few clients. They’ll think you’re a genius!)
The book, Waiting for Your Cat to Bark? : Persuading Customers When They Ignore Marketing, about boosting online conversion rates, looks good, too. I haven’t read it yet, but watch an upcoming post for a review.
Essential Takeaway Point
Understanding the buying/selling process, whether or not you’re doing it direct, is a critical part of being able to craft an offer, write a compelling story, hit a customer’s emotional hot spot "spot on" without a lot of extra noise.
