Glyphius Testing Update: Still Beating the Control

Thanks to James Brausch’s mention, I’ve had a ton of new visitors to The Copywriting Maven - thanks and welcome!

Opportune, too, since I decided to revisit my original testing and see if I could use Glyphius to tweak and boost my CTR (click-thru rate.) In one test it did, in the other it was dead-even (but not a loss.) I continue to be impressed with this copy scoring tool.

Here are the numbers where continued Glyphius testing paid off …

Financial Services Firm - Google Adwords PPC Campaign

CONTROL:  .15% CTR

KEY PHRASE Compliance
Reduce regulatory risk & exposure
Learn how with SERVICE

TEST 1:  .21% CTR

KEY PHRASE Compliance
Reduce regulatory risk & exposure.

TEST 2: .24% CTR

KEY PHRASE Rule Changes
Reduce regulatory risk & exposure.
Learn more - SERVICE.

TEST 3: .26% CTR

Changing KEY PHRASE Rules
Reduce regulatory risk & exposure.
Learn more - SERVICE.

While all the tests performed better than the control, the difference between the control and Test 3 is significant. The key phrase was exactly the same for all ads. The rest of the tests were subtle, some differences in phrasing and punctuation.

Impressive! Few copywriters, even the long-time pros like me, would be able to magically intuit which of these ads would do the best before testing. Glyphius absolutely made a difference here.

I always tell my clients who balk at testing that they can spend the same amount of $$$ well and knowledgeably or poorly - the choice is theirs to make.

I love the fact that Glyphius can help me tweak good copy and make it better. That’s why, next to Clipmate, Glyphius is now my other favorite copywriting utility.

Maven’s Maxim
Making good copy better, making better copy great. Glyphius is a great addition to any copywriter’s toolbox - test it out for yourself and watch your response rates jump!
