Copywriting Maven in Transition: Not Quite Ready for Prime-Time

[NO CUTE IMAGE HERE YET]

Well, here we are … a blog in transition. Like the new look? For now I’m keeping things familiar but over time, who knows. For all of you WP-gurus out there, I do have a question:

The old CM has been moved to its very own server … I’ve redirected … I’ve updated the URLs … but if I click on a comment or category, I get a 404.

I’m sure I’m missing something obvious. Thoughts?

I’m updating my own post here. I’m thinking to get that nice syntax of URL/category/easy-to-read-post.xxx I’m going to have to do a mod-rewrite.

    Yes?

Go to Options: Permalinks. Select Custom Permalinks and type in /%category%/%postname%.html

It’s also popular to have a trailing slash instead of the .html, whichever you’d prefer.

One thing for sure, this new look is simple and… it’s too simple, really.

    Hi Roberta,

I was impressed with your Landing Page Makeover of SEOmoz.org and would like to know if you offer this service as a paid for service?

I head up the marketing team at a UK website and I would like some advice on how to increase our landing page conversion rate.

    Many thanks for your time,

    Julian.

    Hi Roberta.

You categories and comments links are working. Great layout :-). It’s very clean, cool and spacious. But I think, I feel, it’ll evolve a bit more.
