Ambivalent about Your Email? Shaddup and eat your “bacn”

With my last week of teaching copywriters in training, I hope to be back with the pitchy commentary you’ve come to expect very soon. In the meantime, I came across Ken Magill’s column this week in Direct and thought I’d share.

His topic? “Bacn.” This is a new tech-term, so I’m told, that refers to email not exactly wanted, but not exactly unwanted either.

Ken then waxes poetic about new terms for other kinds of emails, using semi-vowel-less mash-ups drawn from human and pet bodily functions.

Stupid Buzzword Watch: Hold the Bacn, Plz

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry. You’ll feel his pain. :)

P.S. Do you like the new look? I’ll be debuting a new logo, too, very soon.
