I received an email invitation today … I’ve redacted the culprit info.
We invite you – Freelance Professional, to open a profile on LAME-FREELANCE-SITE and expose yourself to thousands of potential clients worldwide.
Every day new projects are being posted in all kinds of fields - Just bid and the next one can be yours.
If I’m going expose myself to thousands, I expect to see my money upfront. Preferably in small bills. Euros okay.

I ‘met’ you on Mr. Chandler’s copywriting blog where we both opined about using humor in copywriting. You talked about the singing crickets….I LOVE that. Anyway, I’m glad I found your website.
I too hate elance and other sites that want me to expose myself to thousands….although I do have a pretty great bod. Those sites want you troll for dollars having the lowest price. I tell all my client: Beware of cheap copywriters, they have neither the talent, track record, or experience to trust your businesses fortunes with!
it’s also very ok with me that you call yourself the second best copywriter on earth. After Gary Halbert died, we all moved up one, so now I’m first!!

@Dave: Do I call myself the second best copywriter on earth? Maybe the second most adorable. Gary was his own category so I’m not sure anyone gets the chance to move up one.
@James: I love the name “Men with Pens.” Completely inspired. Wish I wrote it. As far as my pricing? Well, everyone has their price. Mine is completely negotiable based on the terms being offered.
