Okay, I’m back.
It’s already been written that John Hughes defined the 80s. His “Ferris” emblematic of living large anhd joyful every day. My head loves Ferris, but my heart loves Jake.
This has to be one of my favorite, albeit sentimental movie endings of all time. The moment, as the cars pull away from the church, we see him leaning against his iconic red sports car. Well, the 16-year old Samantha in all of us takes in a small, quick breath – softly, audibly, and we melt just a little more.
