			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>60,234 quality leads by just, like, teaching people? Is there ever any such thing as too many qualified leads for the smart online entrepreneur?</strong></p>
<p>As many of you know, most of my marketing consulting and copywriting work is B2B. I like B2C, but I love B2B. Problem? Solution! It&#8217;s a clean and elegant proposition with endless possibilities. B2B also defines my own client prospecting efforts, as I imagine it does yours, too. That&#8217;s why I got curious about a new B2B product that is creating some major buzz in its own right.</p>
<p>Especially in tough times like now, marketers (folks like you and me) need to pay a new kind of attention to our businesses. (No whining about being a writer rather than a marketer. Remember, I&#8217;m the girl who views freelance copywriters AS business owners.)</p>
<p>And not just the same-old, same-old either.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s why I think you&#8217;ll be as intrigued as I was about the guy in this video. He&#8217;s onto something I encourage you to check out for yourself.</p>
<p>You might even call it shocking, but only in a good way. No need to do anything special, it will just start playing.</p>
<p>…But here&#8217;s really shocking (okay, not shocking. Let&#8217;s call it amazing) part:</p>
<p>1. Prospects literally line up, ready to purchase after experiencing this.</p>
<p>2. Following the strategy, businesses are becoming the thought leaders of their industries.</p>
<p>3. Once set in motion, the strategy keeps generating quality leads literally for years. (Because I&#8217;m lazy, I love systems that continue to work for me without any extra effort on my part.)</p>
<p>Now who wouldn&#8217;t want a little piece of that working for you!</p>
<p><strong>Here&#8217;s the kicker. What he reveals does NOT involve email, blogs (what, no blogs?), social networking or any of the usual web marketing suspects.</strong></p>

<p>Here&#8217;s what I&#8217;ve received today and thought I&#8217;d share:</p>

<p>From <em><a href="http://emailstatscenter.com/" target="_blank"><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1206561370_0">EmailStatsCenter.com</span></a> </em>- some interesting stats, natch.</p>

<li><font size="2">Emails that had only the subject line personalized (12.4% Open Rate &amp; 1.7% CTR) did worse than those with no personalization at all (13.5% Open Rate &amp; 2.7% CTR). - <em>MailerMailer (2008)</em></font><font color="#000000"><br />

<li><font size="2"></font><font color="#000000">56% of survey respondents consider marketing messages from known senders to be spam if the message is &#8220;just not interesting to me&#8221;, while 50% of respondents consider &#8220;too frequent emails from companies I know&#8221; to be spam.  <em>Q Interactive and MarketingSherpa (2008) - <font color="#ff0000">this one is really scary, no?</font></em></font></li>
<li><font color="#000000" size="2">Emails with 20 or more links got about twice as many clicks as those with fewer links. - <em>MailerMailer (2008)</em></font></li>

<p>I&#8217;ve included &#8220;how-to&#8221; from <em><a href="http://ehow.com/" target="_blank"><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1206561370_1">Ehow.com</span></a></em> because in an imperfect world where chaos reigns, I find comfort, perhaps even the grace of G-d, in the pure simplicity of <a href="http://www.ehow.com/how_2047398_boil-perfect-hard-boiled-egg.html">boiling the perfect hard-boiled egg</a> &#8230; and think of how pretty your next <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1206561370_2">egg salad sandwich</span> or deviled egg platter will look.</p>
<p>BONUS!</p>
<p>It seems that Copywriting Maven has been thrown into some sort of <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1206561370_3">March Madness</span>-Styled, Celebrity Writing <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1206561370_4">Blogger</span> Death Match thingie at <em>Writer&#8217;s Resource Center</em>. From what I can tell, you can&#8217;t vote (me either) but as Barbie would say, &#8220;It looks hard.&#8221; <a href="http://www.copyblogger.com"><em>Copyblogger</em></a> won the first round. No surprise there. I think I&#8217;m in Round #3. <a href="http://www.poewar.com/march-writing-blog-madness-seedings/">You can read more about it here</a>. (The <em><a href="http://www.menwithpens.ca">MenwithPens</a></em> fans are commenting hot and heavy, but don&#8217;t let that <strike>scare</strike> sway you.) I&#8217;m just waiting for my uniform to arrive.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I saw this thread post in my <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1202939630_0">Google Alert</span> email. <a href="http://www.vietnamtravelforum.net/life_in_vietnam/1028-girls_who_like_to_play_with_words.html">Girls who “like to play with words”</a> comes from the <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1202939630_1">Vietnam Travel Network</span>.</p>
<p>Beyond the novelty of a post about us copywriting gals in a travel forum, I find the post focus on writing slogans sorta fun. When I began copywriting a million years ago, I was asked constantly if I wrote slogans, too. Stealing ideas? Oh yeah, that&#8217;s in there, too.</p>
